Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

So, how do I review one of the most beautiful books I have read in a long time? I had the biggest book hangover and it took me a full day to be open to a new book again.
This book reminded me of reading exotic fairy tales when I was a child. I was drawn into this world so completely, it felt like going away for a while.
The writing is so beautiful I had to stop reading sometimes to process it and there are so many quote worthy lines. I loved the transformation of Lazlo as a character, how he finds his own worth even before he discovers his true power. Sarai struggles with her loyalty and doing what's right in a way that is believable and beautiful and through that, she encounters most of the difficulties that we would have to face in real life when we try to do the same.
The love story was just so sweet. Young adult often features a first love, but setting it in a dream world and taking two characters who are so innocent and inexperienced makes it a discovery all over again.
I am enchanted by this book and I'm so happy I aready have Muse of Nightmares in my tbr pile because I can't wait to start it.
