I almost want to read this again, immediately. I LOVE this book. The audio book is also fantastic and I really recommend that’s how you read this (though I switched back and forth). Packed with adventure, the plot and characters have such a delightful unpredictability about them that made the escalations into magical elements that much more fun. It’s such a rich story and is absolutely riddled with great, succinct quotes on what it is to be a woman—which is that it’s everything, and also that it’s nothing you’d expect, all at the same time.
