A Nameless Witch by A. Lee Martinez
2.0
2.5 ish stars.
This book was... aggressively fine. It was a perfectly enjoyable read for me, but nothing more. I didn't particularly care about any of the characters' fates, and wasn't hugely fond of the writing style. I did find myself smiling quite a bit, but the book wasn't as funny as I hoped it might be.
I did like the ending and appreciated that it didn't go in the obvious trope-y direction it could have followed. But I think I might have been expecting too much from this. It's been on my TBR for months now so maybe I just had too high hopes.
Certainly not a bad book by any standards, and I understand the appeal of this book and why so many people have enjoyed it. But it was just missing something for me, so I couldn't give it 3 stars.
