"Since this is not a tale of midnight witchcraft, but a simple, a reasonably simple, love story, it is fitting that the final chapters should open on the morning of a glorious day."
This isn't like the hard gothic novels that Catherine Moreland would stay up all night reading, but something soft, something simple. This isn't a criticism, it's actually really lovely. I'll check out Steward's other writings in the future.
