Glorious Appearing: The End of Days by Tim LaHaye

5.0

There is so much to say about this book but there is also a lot to say about the series as a whole. This is a series of 12 books. With each one the story grows and the cast of characters grows along with it. Some characters are lost throughout the series and each one is just as devastating as the first. I found myself growing attached to the characters and relating to them in different ways. The only thing that I could find to complain about in this series is how the author(s) go back in each book and seem to repeat things in all of the books. It can get a little frustrating when you are trying to move on in the story but this is most likely for individuals who did not read all of the books. Some of the repeated scenes are things that are important to the storyline which without the knowledge of those parts may keep the reader from understanding what has happened and what may happen.

I would definitely recommend reading this series from the beginning. When it comes to this final installment of the series "Glorious Appearing" I personally felt many emotions when reading it. As characters lost their lives and lost friends and loved ones I could feel the emotions that would come along with actually being in those situations. When it got closer to the Glorious Appearing of Christ the story becomes very intense. When Jesus comes down from heaven the line that stuck out at me was, "Heaven opened and there, on a white horse, sat Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God." This brought tears to my eyes. Through the entire series it came down to that moment, the moment all of the characters in the book and myself as the reader were waiting for. The most intense moment of the entire series.

I know this is a bit long but in closing there is just one more thing I would like to write about that stuck with me after reading it. "He loved us every one, as if there were but one of us to love." If you are someone who does not have religion than I doubt this would mean very much to you but as for me this was the most rewarding part of the entire series. My Savior, Jesus loves me, he loves my children, he loves my husband, he loves my friends and my family, he even loves you whether you love him or not. He has loved us since before the Earth was created and he will love us for eternity.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

Psalm 37:28 For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones.
