I walked into this book pretty much blind and I think that's the best way to do it. Everything was confusing and tense because of it which is really the whole point of horror, right?

My favorite thing had to be the characters. You could, in theory, hate any of the men involved but there was just enough to them that you felt sympathy. A lot of times in the revenge horror drama that's difficult to pull off, but Jones killed it.

The lore here was so nightmarish and uncanny and the POV shifts really added to that. I'm so excited to see what else Stephen Graham Jones writes in the future.
