this was a little frustrating because my problems from the earlier books feel more exasperated in this one. I especially did not like that Rory's and Arthur's relationship kept going back-and-forth between the same roadblocks we had in previous book without change. It's not that I find it unrealistic that Arthur falls back on old patterns or that Rory is still unused to ask for help, it's the fact that that dynamic has not changed at all since book 1 despite us literally following them on their journey together.
While there were many sweet moments between them, the plot kind of fumbles its way into the spotlight and it doesn't help that all the side characters are really not well established so there's not much impact to be had.
