A brilliant mix of short stories from some of the biggest names in current YA, writing either for Team Zombie or Team Unicorn. By the end of the book it's not very clear who's won, but we've read some fantastic short stories, and I've added a couple of authors to my 'want to read' list.
My favourite Unicorn story is Purity Test, just for the humour and snark. I'm torn on the Zombie side; Cold Hands was interesting, but I thought the world building lacked something. Prom Night was fascinating, but it felt more like the first chapter of a novel than a short story, with nothing resolved at the end and several questions left over.
