This book hasn't left my brain since I finished it. It is filled with ideas of the future, gripping storylines and a writing style I thoroughly enjoyed. The downside here is there is ALOT of politics and policy discussion. As someone who enjoys that, even I found it a bit of a roadblock, as we would jump from a gripping story about a recovering addict to a full chapter on policy. The Deluge had me thinking about the realities of the future political landscape, I just found it didn't flow as well for the story. Beyond that, I would highly recommend the book if you are interested in the climate crisis, you enjoy multiple character storytelling and really, if you like reading about politics then you'll love this book.
