I liked the journal concept of the story. This made me connect more with Haytham and see his thought process. I haven’t played this particular game of Assassin’s Creed, so everything was a surprise for me. Having said that, I still couldn’t help but think about which parts of the story would have been included in the game.

I thought the plot of the story was quite heartbreaking throughout the whole novel.
First, of course, with the fire at the house, but also at parts like the cruelty of Braddock, the suicide of Holden, and the end when Connor has to kill his own father.
