Welcome to Dorley Hall by Alyson Greaves

4.0

That was a wild ride, and a particularly entertaining one at that. I didn't really know to expect going into reading this novel, and was pleasantly surprised with the progression of the narrative. While I will say that there are a lot of characters, and quite a few creative liberties taken into consideration, I got the overall impression that this was a well developed and rather distinct story that raised very interesting questions about the relationship between personal and social attitudes to gender identity. While I hesitate to condone the premise of Dorley Hall, I do think the level of depth and commentary regarding its intent was highly compelling, and I really appreciated the nuances explored throughout.
