The Body in Question by Jill Ciment

3.0

it is not the book's fault, but it was not what i was anticipating the vibe to be. i was expecting it to be a tad more suspenseful and have some elements of people not being who they say they are (no further comments lest i spoil the novel). what i found in the pages was a concise exploration of what it means to live and die. who has guilt in the loss of life? it was unexpectedly beautiful, and for what it is, it does a damn good job of it. my only qualm is how the reviews on the back cover and in the first few pages really make it out to be a thriller, and i just did not find elements of that here.
