The Final Wife – Basic, Boring, and Instantly Forgettable
The Final Wife was… fine. Not horrible, but definitely nothing special. It felt like a very by-the-numbers thriller: the plot was predictable, the characters were flat, and nothing about it stood out. Just your average, run-of-the-mill domestic suspense that didn’t offer anything new to the genre.
If you've read more than a handful of thrillers, you’ve basically read this one already. It’s the kind of book you finish, shrug, and immediately move on from. No real twists to write home about, no emotional impact—just a basic story going through the motions.
Would I recommend it? Only if you're desperate for something to read and don't mind a thriller that plays it safe. Otherwise, there are far more exciting options out there.
