I’m really growing to like Will Trent a lot. I’m really growing to hate Sara Linton a lot. The story was entertaining enough but I found Sara’s chasing after Will to be incredibly annoying. Throughout all of the Grant series, all we ever heard was how hard it was for Sara to get past Jeffrey cheating on her...how hurtful, how devastating, how hard to forgive. Then in this book, we get Sara acknowledging that Will is married but because Angie is so horrible, somehow it’s ok that she’s actively chasing a married man. No. I would have loved the two of them together if Will had separated officially....started divorce or annulment proceedings. But no, he’s still married. You don’t get to write a series of 5,6 or 7 books crucifying the man for cheating but then make it no problem just to push a relationship in the new series along. Shame on Karin Slaughter for this cheap move. And my other issue with this one was that Will, who’s supposed to be a great detective spends most of his time getting piecemeal information from Amanda. It takes away much of his use.
