So You Want to Be a Villain?
by ErraticErrata
My main gripe with the book is the fact that there's a lot of spelling/grammatical mistakes. Considering that this is not an officially published book, it's understandable — but sometimes it just confuses me and I get thrown out of my flow.
Story-wise, I think the people in this book are TOO smart. They can read people like a book, which sometimes gets a little too mind-boggling. Catherine is also VERY well-versed in military tactics, which is unexpected, considering that she hasn't even started learning it for a year. But that point is arguable, and I am happy to see a competent main character, so I still like it.
The last chapters were amazing — I loved how the book was concluded. Also, I still have a hard time remembering names of places, allegiances, organizations and such, so sometimes I just skim over the text because I won't understand it fully either way. Despite that, the meat of the story is just as entertaining.
