This book is a great YA read that feels like a story you’d see made into a Netflix teen movie some day. It is basically an updated “13 Going on 30” with a 17-year-old protagonist who time travels *with* her sworn enemy…who just happens to be her husband in the future.

This book is EXACTLY what you expect it to be. This could be a good or a bad thing depending on the reading experience you are looking for. I enjoyed that it was a quick and breezy read at just under 300 pages with short chapters. I ended up finishing it in only 2 days. The story kept me hooked to want to see how all the time travel and relationship drama would work out, and I enjoyed the enemies to lovers plot.

The short length of the book also works against it, though, because I wished more time was spent on Charlotte and JT in their 30’s. I would have loved to see a bit more cute relationship moments there, but the time travel bits got in the way.

This book doesn’t have a lot of deep messages, but it is a fun, quick YA read that I would still recommend (as does Mindy Kaling based on the intro).
