The Last Seven Months of Anne Frank by Willy Lindwer

4.0

As long as you disregard the poor title of this book going in (no, there is not much in it about Anne Frank directly), I think you will enjoy it. The stories of these six women are remarkable and moving. I love how you can hear the voice of each. It's so mind-boggling to me that anyone survived the concentration camps, and also that the Nazis even bothered to keep anyone alive rather than killing them all outright. Their system was so crazy and nonsensical. Such horrific madness.
