In a lot of ways this reminded me of little brother in that it's in large part just an excuse for Doctorow to talk about society and tech concepts that interest him, but I think it's the weakest of these, especially in plot and the character didn't seem any more complete than his 17 year old protags, which is a bit of for a main character of 67. Also I was a bit confused on whether Marty's view of his new riches was supposed to be incredibly stupid and naive or not and I think it wasn't in the end? But it seems supremely so to me.
