This was book was so cute!

Hani and Ishu enter a fake relationship after some of Hani's (shitty) friends doubt her assertion of her sexuality. Unsurprisingly, the "fake" aspect to their dating grows thin over time as natural feels grow. The characters (despite Hani's so-called friends) were colorful and complex. I love how Adiba gave us characters that shared some aspects (i.e. being Bengali) yet showed readers that there is no single story for those who may share a background; there could still be many differences in their religion, upbringing, eating habits, values, etc. This gave so much depth to the story Adiba told here. I also loved the foil contrast we got between Hani and Ishu's sexuality, where one was out and accepted by her parents and the other was still in the closet initially.

Overall, this was a very light & enjoyable read!
