WOW. Wow, wow, wow. This book is truly one of the most expansive fantasy stories I've ever read. The world building is very clear, the magic system is something I haven't seen done before except maybe in 'The Magicians' by Lev Grossman, and Kvothe, our main character, has something about him that I really do enjoy reading. Sure, he can be a bit of a Gary Stu (all the women love him and he always find a solution to his problems), but I feel like the story actually did something with that - it showed that he is an exceptional person and that he also did have to work hard for his knowledge. I got this book as a gift and I'm so glad that I finally got to read it. Truly, a great book. It only falls short of 5 stars because of the Gary Stu-ness of Kvothe, but otherwise, a great story!
