It's book about 12 years old Marinka who wants to have a normal life and friends because it's impossible when your house has chicken legs and constantly move around the world. Furthermore each night girl celebrate with dead because her grandmother helps them pass to the afterlife. So when the opportunity to have a friend appeared Marinka broke all rules...but her grandmother disappeared. Marinka try to find her and bring her life back to normal in Yaga's standard.

I finished "The House with Chicken Legs" yesterday and my first thought was "Marinka is so annoying, irresponsible, selfish girl who starts crying when because of her, everything is falling apart". I don't like her. The best character for me was 'Old Yaga' who was a sweet old lady with passion for chemistry. I really like Yaga's family idea whom are spread around the world and help the dead pass on the other side.

This book atmosphere is adorable and so warm. Furthermore it was funny, especially when you observed the personality of the Chicken House. From other hand it was moving but I don't want to spoil anything.

For me it was really good fantasy retailing of the tale of Baba Yaga with Russian folklore vibes.

Jest to książka o 12-letniej Marince, która chce mieć normalne życie i przyjaciół, bo jest to niemożliwe kiedy twój dom ma kurze łapy i stale przemieszcza się po świecie. Ponadto każdą noc dziewczynka świętuje ze zmarłymi, bo jak babcia pomaga im przejść w zaświaty. Kiedy pojawia się szansa na posiadanie przyjaciela Marinka łamie wszystkie zasady...ale znika jej babcia. Marinka próbuje ją odszukać i przywrócić swoje życie do normy według standardów Jagów.

Skończyłam "Dom na kurzych łapkach" wczoraj i moją pierwszą myślą było "Marinka jest mega wkurzającą, nieodpowiedzialną, samolubną dziewczyną, która zaczyna płakać, kiedy z jej winy, wszystko się wali." Nie lubię jej. Najlepszą postacią dla mnie była 'Stara Jaga', która była uroczą staruszką z pasją do chemii. Bardzo lubię rodzinę Jagów, która rozsiana jest po świecie i pomaga zmarłym przechodzić na drugą stronę.

Atmosfera tej książki jest wspaniała i mega ciepła. Ponadto było zabawnie, zwłaszcza kiedy obserwowało się osobowość Kurzego Domu. Z drugiej strony było to wzruszające, ale nie chce psuć wszystkiego.

Dla mnie było to dobre fantasy ponownie opowiadające historię Baby Jagi z nawiązaniami do rosyjskiego folkloru.
