The author takes an extremely old and ancient and well-known story and brings it into the modern era - keeping the most interesting and shocking elements of Greek mythology intact to entice the reader. The book is fun but emotional. It can bring you to tears if you let it. You find yourself loving the characters - something much harder to do in the traditional telling of the story in the Iliad. It is a unique and creative perspective much appreciated.
