You 100% need to get the audiobook.
This entire book is pretty much Megan and Nick chatting with each other. And I’m not complaining! You are basically listening to a podcast as an audiobook. And I LOVED it. But I can guarantee you that if I was looking at the physical copy or ebook, I would have NOT enjoyed it nearly as much, if at all, honestly. This practically needs to be consumed as an audiobook. Their voices, the way they interact with each other, the humour hits better, they’re giggling – NICK OFFERMAN GIGGLING, and their chemistry is FIRE in the audiobook.

The audiobook isn’t 100% about their love story. I mean, they do go over how they met and the course of their relationship. But they do shift around to other topics. They talk about their lives, how they grew up, how different their families are from each other. They talk about how they got into show business and their fans. There are a few chapters here and there where only one of them speaks; so they’re not talking with each other the entire time, but the chapters are all entertaining. And you can just feel the love and attraction and respect that they have for each other, every time they just speak. It’s just so lovely.
I think the one bonus of getting a visual book is that they do include childhood photos. So obviously you can’t see them when listening to the audiobook, BUT as the bonus of the audiobook, they also make the effort to try and describe each photo, and that was also delightful to hear.
Could this have been edited more, or arranged better, maybe the chapters given more of a direction or maybe flow better? Sure. Maybe. Do I care? Nah. I’d still recommend this to everyone! This book is good fun, and an entertaining listen if you’re a fan of the actors and want to learn more about them. I blushed a lot, I giggled a lot, and I had a good time.
