The Lioness of Morocco by Julia Drosten

3.0

I wanted so much more

I thought this would be some epic Moroccon tale filed with intrigue and history. While this did have a wonderful historical element to it, it fell flat in so many ways.

Likes
- details and descriptions of the world were done so you felt as if you were there
- Sbyalla was a timid but smart character

Dislikes
-why did we rush through years and hop around so much
-ZERO chemistry between any of the characters
-plot holes left and right

Overall this could have been an amazing story but we were left with the equivalent of an 80 year old grandmother's writing. The writing was not fluid and was very choppy. Potential was there, it
Just never materialized.
