It is one of my favourite novels I read this year. "Onaoshi Dokoro Nyaan" is also the iconic Japanese literature: adding some fantasy plots to our most ordinary life. There are 5 short stories in this novel, the hero and the heroine in each story are the most ordinary human just like you and me. Each of them has some unsatisfaction, regret, or anything that has been bothering them for years, and they all accidentally come to a store, "Nyaan"- a store that can fix everything, and its owner is a cat.
In Nyaan, although it says that it can fix everything, most important of all, they fix the soul of their customers.
The most interesting part of this novel is that each short story presents a fine tea and an exquisite dessert. The way Amano describes these desserts makes me feel like I am enjoying the dessert in Nyaan as well. In one of the stories, I even recognise the exact dessert that I've actually eaten before!
Right now, there are 3 volumes of "Onaoshi Dokoro Nyaan" and Taiwan only published the first volume, I can't wait for the translator and the publisher to publish its sequels.
