One of those books that I could not put down, but would not enjoy reading again. It held up its mystery all the way through and gave a terribly realistic portrayal of how it is to barely survive through years of isolation and trauma that no amount of therapy can undo. I won't nitpick on the logistics or the occupational plot holes one of the main characters had, as they weren't the focus of this book. I would say it has some similarities with Nita Prose's The Maid but with a much bleaker ending.
