Altogether, Flawed is a rather lovely YA read. It's a nice new twist on distopian romance, and might be a little easier for younger readers than our classics such as 1984. The personal messages within it can be a little cheesy at times, but you have to give credit where it's due: at least Cecelia Ahern promotes positive self-image for young readers instead of the predominant "Beauty and power are everything" agenda.
