I read the book before finishing the last two episodes of the tv show because I was craving more detail about the plot however it was quite different so it didn't help give me more insight. It had more of a focus on the characters which I really enjoyed and I found myself laughing out loud quite often. I flew through the book in 2 days and it was really compelling even though the political plotline wasn't as complicated as that of the show.  Overall a great read and super fun to add some more dimension to characters and a story that I already love.
