The vibes of It Follows meets the sex and gorey body horror of Cabin Fever.
Revenge horror at its finest.

I read an ARC of Pocketknife Kitty while dealing with my own body horror issues. The immersive experience might have effected my view of it but there's no helping that.
The plot and scenes were simple but in its simplicity all you are left is the horror of Jamie's situation - organ prolapse, lesions, pus, blood, and more. The descriptions are wonderfully done and nauseating.
While I figured out what was happening and guessed the ending early on I was still pressed to keep turning each disgusting page until I saw it happen.
When it was over with, I was like Jamie - satisfied and changed.
