kind of maybe a spoiler warning??
not only was this book entertaining, there was so much symbolism ingrained into the book that was not easily recognizable but very profound in the book. although it's pretty short, the story never really felt rushed and i think the pacing was really good. seeing how meursault experiences things from the first person point of view was really interesting because of how detached he is to literally everything. the commentary from this book about the meaning of life was something i've never read before because of how meursault thinks of life as completely meaningless and is completely numb he is to everything he experiences. this book also touches on how people judge others because they are not "acceptable" according to their society and their prenotions. overall, the symbolism and the themes in this book made it very fun to read and i would def recommend.
