Take a photo of a barcode or cover
I think I was in high school the first time I read this book, perhaps younger. I know that I've read it at least two or three times previously, but I just now read it again for the first time in a great many years. I remember it as one of my favorite Dean Koontz books, and it holds up pretty well.
