The protagonist of this book was so annoying, self-centred and insecure, that I almost DNFed this. She lashes out and makes misogynistic comments because of her insecurity and then blames it on the man who doesn’t want to keep talking with her. It really needed a world-wide pandemic for those two to start talking again.
I don’t think this was very romantic nor very comedic. The protagonist is supposed to be a Grammy-winning writer of comedic sketches, but she doesn’t really seem funny when she is talking. None of the sketches we saw in the show sounded very funny to me (don’t get me started on the cheesemonger one).

Moderate: Sexism, Death of parent, Pregnancy
Minor: Drug abuse
