CW: pregnancy termination, and a spicy scene or two.

I’m sure that I was taught about the freedoms that were given and then taken away during reconstruction. At least one of my middle school teachers would have for sure touched on that, but I didn’t remember it. The complexities of that  the ripple effect through the generations, whether people chose to pass or not, are so heavy. As are the consequences of choosing to pass in that era. As always, I appreciate the opportunity to learn about things like that from an enjoyable fictional read. Definitely going to look into the author’s other works now.
