I know this had been said over and over in reviews, but if I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be ‘cute’. It’s such a nice and fluffy contemporary and it was such a fun read.

There is plenty to love within this book - I especially loved the focus on family and its imperfections as well as how it copes with change.

Lara Jean herself was super relatable (especially as someone who spent secondary school not risking telling people she liked them), and I really felt for everything she went through. Like seriously, I was in floods of tears by the end.

On the other hand, I didn’t really like Peter. I just found him to be a little controlling and not really likeable in general. Lara Jean deserves better than that - just saying.

Anyways, I’m really glad this is a trilogy because I’m not sure that I’m ready to leave these characters behind. However, it might be a while before I can actually get my hands on the other two, so I guess I’ll have to wait.

Overall: A cute and fun contemporary with a great family story, even if the love interest is questionable.
