I haven't read Piper Rayne since their hockey romances but once I saw this cover and read the synopsis I had to give this a try. And I'm glad I did because this was so cute! I flew through this one.
Lottie and Brooks were adorable. Brooks has been gone for Lottie for a long time but she was his brother's girl so he never acted on his feelings. However, due to Lottie being dumped at the altar and a drunk Vegas wedding, Brooks and Lottie end up hitched. The romance develops from here and it is a wonderfully done slow burn. I just swooned over Brooks. He's sincere, protective and dedicated to Lottie from the get-go. He's truly a dream man. Lottie is so relatable and I really enjoyed her character. The chemistry these two have simmers for a while but once they strike a match to it, these two were hot!
Narrators Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin did a superb job bringing these characters to life. Their voices made this easily devoured in one sitting.
Would highly recommend if you like small ranch town, accidental marriage, he falls first and slow burn.
