"The world is changing. But the world always changes. It changes around us, it changes us." —Clark Kent, #4
maybe i'm just getting older, but i was quite literally in tears for the last issue. to have read this man's whole life, and to see him settle, old and gray and happy and watching sunsets just to chase it . . . god, i love it so much. this miniseries is such a microcosm of superman—the mythos, the hero, the man. busiek did clark's character such a favor by giving us the premise: if you had the ability to help, wouldn't you? and this clark kent is not the world's clark kent, but he is still a hero. he's still superman, because it's not about the suit, not about the name clark kent. it's about doing good and being good. godddd i'm back in the pits of superman hell!!! side note, obsessed with immonen's art in this. it's soooo dreamy in a way i can't articulate.
