I knew going into a book about 1940's lesbians it wasn't going to be an easy read, it would be emotional, and I was right. I loved this book, and even though I cried like a baby at one point, I would recommend it to anyone. I think it's important to see how life was back then, and remember that just because we've come so far in certain places, there are still areas of the world that are like that now.
