The Deal Breaker by Melissa McClone

5.0

Dash and Iris story brought me to tears a couple of times. The best friend who over dedicated herself to the boy she’s loved since she was 13 and the boy who thought he was just as dedicated until he loses her. I think Dash fell harder but lacked the ability to see it until Iris took a stand for herself and picked up where she paused her life and went for her happiness.

I loved Henry, as a side character I thought he was wonderful and warm. I would have cried more in this book if Henry hadn’t been there to give his two friends a shove and pick up Dash’s slack.

I loved the reality of Iris giving so many chances because she knew Dash at his core, and I loved that she did find that strength within herself to step away and say no more when Dash once again let himself get in his own way. Wonderfully written, and I couldn’t put it down.
