Black and British: A Short, Essential History by David Olusoga

5.0

An excellent book. It's quite short but that doesn't mean it isn't informative. It's very accessible which makes it a brilliant choice for children (10+ in my opinion) or for adults looking for a concise history of being black and British. I read it wanting to see whether it was appropriate for my Year 6 class but ended up finishing it wanting to read a more in-depth account so I look forward to reading more of Olusoga's work.
