I couldn’t tell you to save my life what possessed me to read this. I’m not usually into dark romances but for whatever reason, I decided this was worth a shot.

That being said, wtf was this? The ending felt super out of character, or maybe that’s because I felt like the MCs had like little to no depth whatsoever. Salvatore just humiliated Lucia constantly, like I’m surprised the girl even had tears left to cry by the end of the book. Major major Stockholm syndrome.

The spice? SPICY. Like really fricken spicy and I kinda loved it. The plot? Minimal. Like seriously the plot was very basic.

There’s a part of me that loved this (I couldn’t tell you which part) and is going to read the next one. But I’m also totally aware that I have read much better romances, especially dark romances, despite not liking the genre.
