A gentle, quiet story about grief and family love. I was worried that the squash talk would take over like in some other novels about special interests and obsessions, but it's quite accessible. It's a very 'show, don't tell' novel which I usually like but I felt a lot of it might have been too subtle for me - or maybe it's just more straightforward than I think.
