Alexia Tarraboti is now Lady Maccon, living with her husband Conall Maccon and they are still themselves. Witty banter but definitely in love.
In this installment, something is affecting preternatural creatures to where they were losing the supernatural abilities. Never fear because Alexia is on the job, of course she has to first convince the community that she isn't the cause of the problem first.
The great thing about this series is that it isn't your typical cliche PNR story. The heroine is strong, witty, clever and a real partner to her werewolf husband. I like how they have a subtle competition in solving mysteries. They are a fun couple and I hope everything get put back to rights in book 3 because that ending was sad.
