really great nicely written fantasy. will probably finish the series. despite it having one of my most hated way of magic acquisition - hereditary, although I have a feeling that might change in the following books or adapt in the following books, and that this way of magic is important on telling the message of this book. Kelsiers death didn't have me as emotional as I thought it would, but he was probably my favourite character after saze and doc . the author gets away with racial diversity by not really describing how the characters look in terms of skin tone, I always imagined vin as South East Asian and kelsier like a white howl but with longer hair.
Graphic: Slavery, Torture, Violence
Moderate: Gore, Rape
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Abandonment
