Vixen by Jillian Larkin

I love historical fiction, and the 1920s isn't my favorite decade, but this seemed initially to hold a lot of promise. On the plus side, the pacing is quick with multiple perspectives told from three main female characters. The 1920's Chicago setting is very appealing and the speakeasy lifestyle and dress was well described and unusual. Unfortunately that was the best part of the book. Lost in the inspiring details of setting, dress and place is a wimpy over-dramatic story and completely flat characters. The relationships are unbelievable and I was never invested.
I am reminded a little of Luxe, which is better high society historical romance. There is a lot of drinking, but very little sex.
