The Angel of Rome: And Other Stories
by Jess Walter
3.5 stars (average from all stories)
"I suppose every person, at some point, tries to break free from the identity you are assigned as a kid, from the person your parents and friends see, from your own limitations and insecurities. To create your own story." - Angel of Rome
This was a solid collection of short stories following characters from all different backgrounds and experiencing all walks of life. It was fascinating to see the significance of each story and how they all wrapped up. I enjoyed this but there were a few stories I did not enjoy at all. I do recommend this if you are a fan of short story collections that are impactful and pack a punch.
