Whit is a single mom with a deadbeat for a baby daddy and a 10 year old boy who desperately needs a stable male figure in his life. Enter Colt, a ranch hand with a penchant for punny t-shirts who takes a shine to Jonas once he begins spending time at the ranch he works at. Whit is leery of anyone getting too close to her son should they disappoint him like his father but Colt proves to be a consistent presence in their lives.

I really love this series and I was hoping for Whit and Colt to have their story and it did not disappoint! Whit is strong and caring and does everything she can for her son. Colt is such a sweet and kind man who clearly falls for both Whit and her son. I loved how Jonas opened up to Colt because he knew he could count on him always showing up. Whit and Jonas have both being so burned in the past and it was really sweet to watch them both open up to Colt.

This book was such a fun and easy read and i loved getting to go back to Wells Canyon! I related a lot to the journey of the characters and I enjoyed seeing them take time apart to really think about their individual futures before really deciding on their path. I loved how both Whit and Colt always put Jonas first. I also loved Betty the dog, she also claimed Jonas and it was so adorable.
