najdvss 's review for:
Doctor Who: The Ruby's Curse
by Alex Kingston
ok its finally time to review this book
firstly: alex kingston is SO GOATED for writing this book!!!!! she did not disappoint
the story is original and how it plays out was incredibly unexpected (and expected at the same time in a good way). the story also somehow gets incredibly bonkers but that also seems sort of fair since it comes from the DW world.
i love the small nuances and references in the book too. every episode/storyline river appeared in on the show was subtly references and i ate it the fuck up!!
i cant give it the full five stars (trust me, i want to) because some aspects got incredibly convoluted (and thus confusing), and the ending was a bit rushed. i still think its phenomenal that this book even exists and if alex writes one of these books again trust i will read it as fast as i can.
