Twisted Love
by Ana Huang
I finally picked up Twisted Love after seeing it everywhere, and now I get the hype. This book was a wild ride of slow-burn chemistry, emotional baggage, and intense character growth — and I couldn’t put it down.
Alex Volkov is the definition of the cold, broody billionaire with a tragic past, and Ava Chen is his sunshine in human form. I loved the way their dynamic unfolded — the grumpy x sunshine trope was done so well here. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d connect with Alex, but the more his layers peeled back, the more I understood and rooted for him. And Ava? She’s strong in ways that go beyond the surface. Her journey of healing, self-worth, and forgiveness really hit me.
The spice? Yep, it’s there. But it’s balanced with actual plot and emotional weight, which I appreciated. I also loved the friendships in this book — especially the way the Twisted series threads the characters together.
There were a few moments where I wanted to shake Alex for his choices, but that just shows how invested I got. If you're into protective love interests, unresolved trauma, and emotional depth wrapped in steamy romance, this one is worth the read.
Now excuse me while I grab Twisted Games — I’m officially hooked.
