This was my second attempt at a Malerman story (I DNF'd my first) and even though I liked it slightly more, the narration was still the best part (I literally jumped in one part). Maybe because it was a novella and I didn't know the sisters well enough to care that she was missing was the reason...or maybe I'm just not a Malerman fan. Gonna try one more book of his before I write off his style.
