The central conflict in this book — Rachel’s friend, her friend’s parents, and the sacrifices they’ve made — is really good. As usual, I love the way their morphs shape their thoughts. The sheer arrogance of a cat vs the terror of a shrew…

A solid second installment. A bit light on larger plot, but focuses on the personal stakes in a compelling way.
